Terms of Service

1. Who these terms are with

These terms govern quotations, orders and installations by Casa Verde Blinds Manufacturing Inc., a corporation organised under Philippine law with its plant at Barangay Aguado, Trece Martires, Cavite. They apply alongside any signed contract or purchase order; where a specific contract conflicts with these terms, the signed contract prevails.

2. Quotations

Quotations are valid for thirty days and are indicative until we have measured the windows. Prices are quoted in Philippine Pesos and are exclusive of value-added tax unless the quotation states otherwise. Delivery and installation within our service area are included; outside it, travel is quoted separately before you commit. A quotation is not a reservation of production capacity — lead times run from order confirmation and cleared payment.

3. Measurements and site conditions

Where we measure, we are responsible for the sizes. Where you supply your own measurements, you are: we manufacture to the figures on the signed measurement sheet, and a remake required because those figures were wrong is chargeable at cost. This is not a penalty; a made-to-measure panel cut to a wrong size cannot be resold.

You are responsible for site readiness: clear access to each window, wet trades finished and reveals plastered, power available, and any permits, service-lift bookings or gate passes that a building requires. Where a wasted visit results from the site not being ready or nobody over 18 being present to accept the work, we may charge the call-out.

4. Made-to-measure orders and cancellation

Every blind is manufactured to your window and your fabric choice. Once cutting has begun, an order cannot be cancelled and changes to size, fabric or control side are chargeable. Before cutting begins, you may cancel with a full refund of any amount paid. This restriction exists because a panel cut to your window and your fabric cannot be resold to anyone else; it does not limit your rights in respect of goods that are defective, not as described, or unfit for the purpose you told us about.

5. Payment

For consumer orders: 50% on order confirmation and the balance on completion of installation. For corporate accounts against a purchase order: 30 days from acceptance. For government contracts: as the procurement documents provide, normally after inspection and acceptance with no mobilisation payment.

We issue a BIR-registered sales invoice for every order. Title to the goods remains with us until payment is received in full, although risk passes to you on delivery. Overdue balances accrue interest at 1% per month from the due date. Retentions and withholding taxes properly deducted at source are not treated as arrears.

6. Delivery and installation

Lead times are ten to fifteen working days for most products from approved measurements, and twenty to twenty-five for timber and imported specialty fabrics. Dates are estimates given in good faith. We are not liable for delay caused by events outside our control, including typhoons and public-storm-signal suspensions, flooding, extended power interruption, port or customs delay, or a building denying access; in those cases we reschedule at no charge to you. We do not install exterior blinds or work at height under Signal No. 2 or above.

7. Warranty

We warrant mechanisms, brackets, tubes, headrails and our workmanship for 5 years from installation; motors for three years and their lithium batteries for two; and fabric for two years against manufacturing defects, delamination and seam failure. The remedy is repair or replacement of the affected part, including labour, within our service area. The warranty follows the installation address for its full term and passes to a new owner of the property.

It does not cover: storm damage to an exterior blind left extended above 60 km/h of wind; pressure-washing; immersion or machine-washing of fabric; bleach or solvent damage; forcing a jammed mechanism; repairs or alterations by anyone else; pet or impact damage; or fading beyond the stated colourfastness period. Removal and refitting at a new address is a chargeable service.

8. Limits of liability

Our liability arising from an order is limited to the value of that order, except where the law does not permit such a limit — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence and for fraud. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost revenue from a room held out of inventory. Nothing here limits your statutory rights as a consumer under RA 7394.

9. Child safety

Corded blinds are supplied with breakaway connectors and tension devices, and our installers fit them. Where you instruct us to install a configuration that leaves an accessible cord loop against our written recommendation, you accept responsibility for that choice. Removing or defeating a supplied safety device voids the warranty on the affected blind.

10. Personal data

We process personal information as described in our Privacy Policy, in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173). Submitting an enquiry or placing an order means you have read it.

11. Intellectual property

The photographs, drawings, specifications, text and designs on this site belong to us or our licensors and may not be reproduced commercially without written permission. Where a project is photographed for our portfolio, we obtain the client’s consent first and will withdraw an image on request.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. We ask that you raise a complaint with us first, at hello@casaverdeblinds.ph, so we can attempt resolution within fifteen working days; most disputes end there. Failing that, consumer complaints may be brought to the Department of Trade and Industry, data-privacy complaints to the National Privacy Commission, and any remaining action to the courts of Trece Martires, Cavite, without prejudice to a consumer’s right to sue in their own place of residence.
